CONDITIONAL REGISTRY????
Conditional Registration, all come about when AKC started requiting DNA on males after 7 litters of puppies on the ground.
It seems that there were a lot of dog (all colors, markings and breeds) that the DNA's on the males sometimes did not match up. So, the birth of Conditional Registration.
The dog has to be a purebred. In this case the sire was purchased from a larger breeder. Went the puppy was purchased from them, it did not have a DNA on there male puppy, she purchased from until AKC required it at 7 litters.
By this time he was around 4 years old and dogs had been sold or also died at that place. The male on his paper did not turned out to
be his sire. The breeder did a lot of line
breeding so there were some very close matches but,
AKC, said the final 3 neither turned out to be the sire. So, as the entire line could be determined to be purebred Chihuahuas and AKC felt that they were AKC stock but it was just indeterminable who the actual sire was they issued all of that males~female puppies to be Conditional Registration.
At four generations those puppies can go back to Full Regular Registration AFTER the are DNA'd by AKC.
You can call AKC the cost for a DNA
Test is $40.00 the kit will be send to you, Or you can order it online with AKC and save $5.00.
Any male/female who are breed to will have to be DNA's (again $40.00 each dog). The puppies will then be issued Conditional Registration
(same as below). After receiving the Conditional Registration paperwork, the resulting puppies of them will then need to be DNA'd by AKC, if you want regular AKC registration paperwork.
Once the AKC DNA profile is sent to you, you can then contact AKC and let them know you have DNA'd their offspring and you want the
Regular Registration paperwork. Conditional Registered dogs cannot be shown.
{have the 4- generations with DNA by AKC.}
However, they can be bred and their puppies be AKC Conditional Registered if sire and dam are DNA'd by AKC. Puppies will be able to be shown....once the puppies are AKC DNA'd and the regular registration is issued by AKC. :)
Bebe, is AKC Conditional Registration; her puppies will be AKC Conditional Registration too, but their puppies (babies) will be eligible for FULL AKC CONDITIONAL REGISTRATION upon sub mission of DNA to AKC !!!!!!!
HEY MY 4- GENERATIONS BABIES HEY!!
It would like to explain that to you and tell you exactly what will be expected from you as a breeder?, if you decide to breed them. This litter puppies will be Conditional Registration which means he cannot be in any AKC shows and can be bred as long as they both have a DNA'd done by AKC, any other dog they are bred to have to have a DNA'd done by AKC.
The litters will be registered AKC Conditional Registration. However, this litter (is NINA) will be the first to revert back to AKC Regular Registration upon their being DNA'd by AKC and the DNA matching this puppies, and the dam/sire they was breed to.
Upon getting back the DNA profile from AKC, you will then notify them that you have got the DNA done and you want the FULL Regular Registration Certificate.
