73% Fight With Their Spouse
About The Dog
Do you every fight with your significant other about your dog?
Well if you do you are not alone...
Based on a PetPlace survey, 73% of people indicated that they fight with their significant other about their dog (17% said they fight all the time and 56% said they fight occasionally about their dog).
Norlaine, one of the survey respondents, said that she and her husband would argue over how much of the house the dogs should have access to (this is a common area of potential disagreement).
Norlaine's husband is from a farming background and generally believes animals should not be in the house. Norlaine had a childhood dog that slept with her on her bed.
Can you see the argument coming?
Norlaine drew the line and said that there was no way her dogs were going to be outside dogs (they live in Alberta Canada and it gets really cold in Alberta!).
So after a few arguments, Norlaine and her husband reached an uneasy truce which gave the dogs free run of the kitchen, foyer, hallway and a back room.
Norlaine still wishes she could give her dogs more access. She would love to be able to sit in the family room and watch TV with her precious dogs, but the husband feels the dogs would wreck the furniture and the carpeting.
Fortunately Norlaine lives out in the country and the dogs have a couple of acres to run around in when the weather is nice enough.
So how about you and your spouse?
Do you occasionally argue over the dogs? All the time?
I would love to hear your story. Please take our quick poll called: Doggie Arguments and leave a comment for the rest of the Petplace community to enjoy.

Thanks in advance for contributing to the PetPlace community with your thoughts, opinion and pet stories.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Until next time...

P.S. - In one case doggie arguments were actually one of the reasons for divorce!

Please don't get to this. Try to work out a compromise like Norlaine and her husband.
